RBI preparing on new techniques, now examine real or fake note from a mobile app

MAY 09 (WTN) – Trouble caused by the counterfeit notes has become a commonplace nowadays. From time to time, the news of fake notes has been in headlines. In the busy life, nobody has enough time to identify the real and fake notes. Anyway, not everyone has ability to recognize the fake notes. Many times one has to face losses due to counterfeit notes.

Due to the flow of counterfeit notes, the Central Government is also upset. For this reason, the government is trying to find a way that the general public can identify on its own level that the notes, which they have, whether real or fake. For this purpose, the Central Government is working on a digital technology, so that the public can find out whether the note is real or fake.

According to the information, an app making for the mobile phone is under preparation. With the help of that app, anyone can detect the fake notes. The Ministry of Finance has entrusted the responsibility of making this app to the Reserve Bank of India.

According to the information received from the media, the process of selection of an agency for app creation has begun to identify fake notes. The government claims that with the help of this app, any person will be able to identify fake notes with the help of mobile phone.

The Reserve Bank of India is also working for a special app for the purpose of identifying counterfeit notes for visually impaired. With the help of this app, it will be easy for visually impaired to identify real and fake notes. This app, which is being created for visually impaired, will tell them that the note they are examining is whether Indian or not, and if the note is Indian then what is its value?

This app, created for visually impaired, will scan the note after keeping it in front of the camera. After this, firstly the app will identify the note whether it is real of fake, and after identifying the note, it will speak the value of the note. According to the information, a system is also being prepared for the visually impaired person and the deaf person too that they can also get the information of the note with the help of app.

By the way, without help of mobile app, you can identify real or fake note. In the notes of Rs 100 and above, there is intaglio printing board identification of technology mark, which is identified by touching the visually impaired. But when the notes become obsolete, the scars are worn, due to which visually impaired are difficult to identify the note.

According to the Reserve Bank of India, till March 31, 2019, there were a total of 102 billion currency notes in the country. The notes worth Rs 18 lakh crore worth 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, 500 and 2,000 rupees, including some notes of one rupee, are currently in circulation in the country.
