But many times it has been observed that at the time of the night, many travelers can’t get off at their destination station, because they got sleepy. In such a way, passengers have to face a lot of trouble. But considering this problem of the passengers, the Railway has now taken the responsibility of giving the information about the destination station to the passengers by calling.

In recent times, the Indian Railways has introduced many services to facilitate travelers. One of these services is the Destination Alert Wakeup Alarm Service. What is this new railway service? And what benefits will travelers get from it? Let's tell you. For your information, let you know that the specialty of new railway service is that the railway will now inform the passenger by a phone call or by sending an SMS alert that when the destination station will arrive? Railway claims that due to this service, passengers will not have to face the problem of not getting off at the destination station while sleeping during the journey in the night.

According to new railway service, during the journey, the person will be informed about the arrival of the destination station about half an hour before that the destination station is about to arrive. According to the information, this alarm service has been started by adding this feature to the IVR system of the inquiry service.

In order to activate destination alert, the traveler must first call on 139 by mobile phone. As soon as you call, you will first have to choose the language. After selecting the language, you will have to press first number 7 and then the number 2 for the destination alert. After pressing these numbers, you have to enter the 10 digit PNR number. After entering the PNR number, you need to dial 1 number to confirm it. After this entire process, the computer system will save the alert for the destination station after verifying PNR number.

After doing this whole process, you will receive an SMS confirmation. Now when you travel, the automatic system of the railway will call you before half-an-hour that the destination station is about to arrive. It means in any case if you are travelling in the night and are asleep, then this call will wake up you, and you will get off at your destination station.

But this railway service is not free. For every alert, the passenger will be charged Rs 3 for an SMS. At the same time, the customer will also have to pay a charge for calling service. It can be said that new railway alert service will be beneficial to the passengers, whose station arrive in late night. Sometimes passengers can't get off at the destination station due to sleeping. It can be said that travelers will not have to face the hassle of not getting off at the destination station due to sleep during the journey with the help of this new service.
