Muslim countries divided into two factions due to Iran-US tensions!

Stress between Iran and Saudi Arabia increasing amid the Shia-Sunni conflict and regional competition

MAY 16 (WTN) – As you know about the ongoing tension between Iran and the US. Since the US has imposed new bans on Iran, there is a fear of war between Iran and the US. After American sanctions, where on one side Iran once again threatened to continue its nuclear program, on the other side, the United States is in a mood to take tough economic action to teach Iran a lesson.

But due to the ongoing tension between the US and Iran, many Muslim countries are also becoming hostile to one another. For your information, let you know that Muslim countries such as Saudi Arabia, UAE and Bahrain are supporting America against Iran, after which there are conditions of tension in the Middle East. While on the one side, some knowledge-makers of international politics take it as a Shia-Sunni conflict. On the other side, some experts take it as a battle of regional domination.

Talk about Saudi Arabia, so Saudi Arabia is in favor of America's aggressive action against Iran. That's because Saudi Arabia thinks Iran as a major threat to its influence in the Middle East. After the US sanctions on Iran's oil imports, Saudi Arabia is now trying to ensure with the US that the global supply of oil should not be affected in any way.

Indeed, since Iraq's dictator Saddam Hussein's being oustood in the year 2003, the battle of regional supremacy is seen between Saudi Arabia and Iran. Saudi Arabia is worried that Shia dominated Iran is trying to spread disturbance in Saudi Arabia Shia community. At the same time, Riyadh believes that supporting Tehran to Yemen rebels is a part of this strategy.

As we have already told you that some people take the conflict amid the Muslim countries on Iran's issue as the conflict between two communities of Muslims; Shia and Sunni. For your information, let you know that 85 per cent of the world's Muslim population is Sunni. Countries such as Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Yemen, Pakistan, Indonesia, Turkey, Algeria and Morocco are Sunni dominated countries. Whereas Iran and Iraq are Shia dominated countries. Shia is the largest minority community in the countries like Yemen, Bahrain, Syria, Lebanon and Azerbaijan.

Experts believe that the root of the conflict in the Middle East Asia is not only a case of Sunni and Shia conflict, but it is a modern nationalism. Gradually, the struggle between Shia and Sunni has changed into proxy war for territorial domination between Iran and Saudi Arabia. According to the experts of international politics, the nationalist leaders of Iran and Saudi Arabia are fighting for their political supremacy under the guise of religion. For this reason Saudi Arabia is openly supporting the United States in order to humiliate Iran.

Some scholars believe that more than the Shia and Sunni conflict, nationalist animosity between Iran and Saudi Arabia is more visible. Well, for your information, let you know that the regional conflicts have not always been between Iran and Saudi Arabia, but in the last few years, this struggle, between the two countries, has grown very much. Based on this, some experts say that Shia and Sunni communities of Muslims are not fighting any religious war, but it is a struggle between the two countries.

According to the experts of international politics, the Shia and Sunni conflicts began in 632 AD. Shia-Sunni conflict is continuing since then, and due to this conflict, Iran and Saudi Arabia are against each other. There is no logical reason to blame the US national security for the 1500 year old religious conflict. Well, there are whatever reasons for the ongoing conflict between Iran and Saudi Arabia, but it is certain that both these countries are trying to become the regional power of the Middle East.
