'Dissidence' in Congress after the historic defeat in the Lok Sabha Elections!

JUNE 07 (WTN) - After the historic defeat of the Congress in the Lok Sabha Election, the silent remained in the Congress for some time, but now the dissidence has arisen in the Congress. In the 2014 Lok Sabha Election, the Congress party could win only 44 seats. In 2014, due to a 10-year anti-incumbency wave, the Congress party had to lose the election. But in the 2019 Lok Sabha Election, the Congress hoped that the Modi Government would have to suffer defeat due to anti-incumbency wave and the NDA would not get a majority.

But in the 2019 Lok Sabha Election, all the Congress Party's strategies proved to be unsuccessful before Narendra Modi's leadership, and the Congress had to face badly defeat in the Lok Sabha Election. Prior to the Lok Sabha Election, the Congressmen had a lot of confidence that the NDA would be defeated and the UPA would form the government under the leadership of the Congress. But all the Congressmen lost dreams.

Indeed, Congressmen had great expectations from their national president Rahul Gandhi that he is a skilled leader. But the fact is that Rahul Gandhi is proving to be a ‘failed’ leader. Political analysts say that Rahul Gandhi is not able to give a strong leadership to his own party in the right way.

After the defeat in the Lok Sabha Election, Rahul Gandhi is proving to be unable to handle the dissidence happening in the Congress. The voices of dissatisfaction have started to break out from the states after the defeat. First of all talk about Rajasthan, there is a ruckus in the Congress party here. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and state Congress chief Sachin Pilot are telling each other responsible for the defeat in the Lok Sabha Election. On the other side, in Madhya Pradesh, the former Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia had questioned Chief Minister Kamal Nath's functioning in the Lok Sabha Election in the Congress Working Committee, where Rahul Gandhi himself was present.

Compared to other states, Congress has done a lot of good performance in Punjab in the Lok Sabha Election, but there is a fight for political domination between Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh and his minister Navjot Singh Sidhu has started in a new way. It is said that Captain Amarinder Singh has set responsibility of defeat in urban areas on Navjot Singh Sidhu, whereas Sidhu says that Captain Amarinder Singh should take charge of it. In the southern state Telangana, the order to leave the party has begun after the rebellion in Congress. Twelve MLAs of the Congress have left the party and they have joined the ruling party TRS.

Here in Maharashtra, some Congress MLAs are said to be angry. These MLAs can revolt from the party. According to sources, in Gujarat, 7 to 10 Congress MLAs are in touch with the BJP and they can join the BJP after observing the situation. At the same time some MLAs of Congress can join the BJP in Goa as well. As you know, the Congress, running the government with JDS in Karnataka, is always in a state of confusion. There have been reports from many times that the Congress party MLAs are in touch with the BJP and can leave the party at any time.

After the defeat in the Lok Sabha Election, the manner in which the Congress party is rebelling, it is clear from the fact that the Congress legislators have no longer faith in the Rahul Gandhi' leadership. In the Lok Sabha Election, that took place after the Emergency also, the Congress did not lose so badly, as badly as defeated in the 2014 and 2019 Lok Sabha Elections.

Clearly, it is the failure of Rahul Gandhi that he is not able to create faith in his party workers and leaders that the good days of the Congress party will come again. It is necessary that Rahul Gandhi should re think where he has done wrong, so that his party had led to face the defeat so badly in his leadership. He should explain to the people of the party that once again Congress can return to power.

If Rahul Gandhi did not strengthen himself and his party during the time, the number of leaders leaving the Congress party in the coming days would increase. Now we have to see how long Rahul Gandhi can succeed in giving a new direction and condition to the Congress, oldest political party in the country. Rahul Gandhi needs to reinvigorate the Congress party, and for this, he will have to meet the grass root level workers and make historical changes wherever needed to make the Congress party strong again.
