Preparation to increase the income of the farmers through e-Mandi and Kusum schemes

JUNE 13 (WTN) - After a massive victory in the Lok Sabha Elections, Modi Government is on the mission mode to work. Prime Minister Modi knows that the farmers have a lot to contribute to such a huge win of BJP in the Lok Sabha Elections. In his first term, Prime Minister Modi had said many times that he has a mission of doubling the income of the farmers. In his first tenure, Prime Minister Modi made a lot of efforts for doubling the income of the farmers. At the same time, during his second term, Prime Minister Modi is working on some new schemes to double the income of the farmers.

In an effort of doubling the income of the farmers, Modi Government is focusing more on two major schemes. One of them is expansions of e-Mandis and the second one is Kusum scheme. Actually, the income of the farmers can be doubled only when they get the right price for their crops and the cost of farming has been cut. First of all, the Modi Government is constantly engaged in the efforts of farmers to get the right price for their crops.

For the farmers to get the right prices for their crops on right time, Modi Government is engaged in the mission to increase the e-Mandi scope. It is being said that the trading will be easy to operate among the states due to e-Mandi, for this, the work of connecting all the e-Mandis together is going on fast.

At the same time, the traders may be able to check the quality of commodities before purchasing in e-Mandi, the Modi Government has decided to make quality check lab in all the e-Mandis of the country. For your information, let you know that the number of e-Mandis in the country at present is 585. The Modi Government is going to introduce 200 new e-Mandis, after which there will be 785 e-Mandis in the country by the end of the year.

The government is going to create quality check lab in every e-Mandi, for which the Ministry of Agriculture will give Rs 3 lakh to every e-Mandi. The quality of crops of the farmers will be checked before the sale in these quality check labs. After the quality check, the farmers will get the certificates for their goods. According to the government, due to the quality check, the farmers will get the proper price for their produce. The Modi Government plans to connect the e-Mandis of 16 states and two union territories by the end of the year.

The pervious scheme was for the farmers to get the right price for their crops. Now the Modi Government is also focusing on measures to reduce the cost of farming. As a result, the Modi Government is now in the process of reducing the cost of cultivating farmers under Kusum Yojana. The Central Government is preparing to give benefits to the farmers in two ways through Kusum Yojana. One, farmers will get electricity free of irrigation, while the farmers who make extra electricity can sell it to grid so they will earn by selling electricity.

In fact, to set up solar power equipment in the fields, farmers will have to pay only 10% of the amount. The farmers can plant solar power plants on their wasteland. To install this plant, the Central Government will deposit the subsidy amount in the bank account of the farmers. In the Kusum Yojana, the farmers will be given 30% of the loan by the bank. At the same time, the government will provide 60% of the total cost of solar pump in the form of subsidy to the farmers. The Modi Government believes that if solar energy is used in all irrigation pumps of the country, it will not only save electricity but will also generate additional power of 28,000 MW.

It can be said that under the e-Mandi and Kusum schemes, Modi Government is in the efforts to increase the farmers' earning. Whereas the farmers will get the right price for their produce through e-Mandi, the Kusum Yojana will save the money spent on electricity for irrigation of farmers. Under the Kusum Yojana, the farmers, who will create additional electricity, will sell it to a grid so that it will give them an additional income. Looking at these schemes, it is said that the Modi Government is making a lot of effort towards doubling the income of the farmers.
