Special vigilance must to prevent Acute Encephalitis Syndrome - Kamal Nath

Citizens need not panic, just be alert 

Bhopal June 23: Chief Minister Kamal Nath has given instructions for maintaining special vigilance to prevent Acute Encephalitis Syndrome (AES). It may be mentioned that 170 children lost their lives because of this disease in Bihar. Expressing grief over the deaths in this tragedy, the Chief Minister said that all the Health officers should be vigilant and not be negligent in this matter. 

Kamal Nath further stated that no symptoms of this disease have surfaced in state till now, but there is a need for vigilance and caution in advance so that no child should fall prey to this disease. Kamal Nath instructed that immediate necessary steps and precautionary measures should be taken if any case comes to the notice. No negligence should be caused as negligence of any kind will not be tolerated in this matter, he added.

The Chief Minister asserted that whatever resources are required to prevent this disease should be brought to the notice of the government. He said that all the hospitals of the state should be informed that immediate information should be given if they come across with any case of this disease. Kamal Nath stated that there is no need for citizens to panic in this regard; they just need to be cautious. The government is very serious in this matter and taking all necessary steps for prevention of this disease. - Window To News
