Another attempt of the People's University towards the environmental protection

JULY 16 (WTN) – The Guru Purnima is of great importance in the Indian culture. The ancient Indian tradition has been that on the day of Guru Purnima, it has been a tradition of going to the Guru for thanking him for giving the knowledge, and receive blessing from him. It has been said in the Indian philosophy that the tree is also a Guru in itself, because we get very much benefits from the trees. Trees have considerable importance in the Indian culture. Particularly the Peepal trees have very importance in the Indian culture. On the auspicious occasion of the Guru Purnima, other plants were planted along with Peepal plants in Bhopal based People's University on the instructions of the Governor of Madhya Pradesh Smt. Anandiben Patel.

Peepal's tree has been a part of Indian culture since ancient times. Peepal tree has been worshiping in Indian culture since ancient times. For your information, let you that Peepal tree leaves have significant importance for health. As you know, oxygen is essential for our survival. Most trees release oxygen during the day and take carbon dioxide, but these trees leave carbon dioxide at night and take oxygen. But for your information, let you know that Peepal's tree is the only tree, which always leaves oxygen during the day or night. Therefore, the Peepal tree is considered to be very good for our health even from the scientific point of view.

As per the instructions of the Governor of Madhya Pradesh Smt. Anandiben Patel, many plants were planted along with oxygen-rich Peepal plants in Bhopal based People's University campus on the auspicious occasion of Guru Purnima. This is the praiseworthy step of People’s University towards the conservation of the environment.

On the auspicious occasion of the Guru Purnima, People's University Director Megha Vijayvargia gave a message of good luck to all. Saying in her message she says that only similar efforts will keep the environment balance, and our earth will be green. Dr. Rajesh Kapoor, Vice Chancellor of the University, says in his message that tree plantation is a great need to save the environment, and we all should consider it as a duty to plant trees.



Dr V.K. Pandya (Director, Academics, People's University), Dr Mrs. Neerja Malik (Registrar), Syed Sajjad Azhar, (Deputy Registrar), Dr. Neeraj Upmanyu (Principal, School of Pharmacy and Research), Dr. P. R. Suresh (Principal, PCPS & RC), Dr. Smt. Amita Maurya (Controller of Examinations), Dr. Pradeep Baghel (In charge, Examination Branch), Gangavishan Jalkhare ((Academic Coordinator) and Virendra Vijayvargiya (in-charge of horticulture) were present in the plantation program. Students, NCC cadets and staff of People's University also attended the plantation program.

On the occasion of the plantation, Dr VK Pandya (Director, Academics) urged everyone that we should continue planting, and we should take care of them so that these plants can grow into trees soon, and we can get benefit from them.
