The Reserve Bank of India has clarified that such emails and messages are never sent to anyone on behalf of the RBI. At the same time, the RBI has clarified that no information such as winning a lottery or sending money from abroad are not sent through email or SMS from the RBI.

In fact, when falsifiers send email for hoaxing people, they use such names like 'RBI' and 'Reserve Bank' on the name of the Reserve Bank of India. But, if you have to avoid online fraud then if you get such mail, please be sure to know by which email address this mail has sent. If you feel suspicious, then delete that email instantly. Also remember that you should not share the information sought about your bank account in that email. Also remember that if there is a link given in the email, do not click on that link, because if you do so you can be victim of online fraud.

Not only this, nowadays some people are sending fake emails as RBI officials and are cheating on the name of the job in the RBI. The Reserve Bank of India has also issued a statement about this. In it, the RBI has said that some people are sending fake emails in its name. These people are calling for interviews in the name of recruitment in the RBI. For your information, let you know that the RBI has stated in its statement that recruitment related ads, examinations, interviews, admit card and other information related to the recruitment are sent only through the official website of Central Bank of India www.rbi.org.in.

So we advise you to always be careful and cautious to avoid fraud in the name of RBI. If there is an email saying about lottery or prize money in the name of RBI, delete it immediately.
