As soon as you make a mistake, you bank account may be emptied.

For your information, let you know that Internet fraudsters use 'phishing' for internet piracy. Phishing simply means to trap someone in your web for theft on the Internet. Through phishing, Internet fraudsters get the banking related confidential information of someone who frauds through the Internet; such as bank account number, full credit-debit card information, net banking password and personal identification information etc.

After stealing any person's confidential information, hackers can use it to withdraw money from the person's bank account. At the same time, the victim's credit card can also be used to pay bills. Actually, if you do not take care while adopting the cashless system, then you may suffer huge losses due to your mistakes. Let us tell you how you can avoid internet fraudsters.

Phishing users send an e-mail to the net banking users, on which most users believe. Phishing users send a 'hyperlink' in e-mails and the users are asked to click on it. As soon as users click on this hyperlink, a fake website opens which looks exactly like a real internet banking site.

In this type of fraud e-mail, users are given various kinds of 'greed'; such as a lottery or prize has been opened. At the same time, users are sometimes 'intimidated' in the e-mail that the bank has imposed a penalty due to any mistake. If users get caught in this type of fraud email, then they start asking users for their confidential information. If users give their confidential information on such e-mail and as soon as they click on the submit button, an error page appears before the user. This error page means that the user has been hit by a phishing attack.

We advise you to never click on any such link which has come through some unknown e-mail. Never give any information on any page which comes as a pop-up window. Never give your banking related password to anyone.

Whenever you use Net Banking, log on to the site only after typing the correct URL. Use your user ID and password only on the authorized login page. Remember that the real URL of the login page starts with https: //. If it starts with 'http: //', then do not login on it. 'S' at https: // means that the page is 'Secure' and encryption is used on it. Remember to locate the lock icon at the bottom right of the browser and the Verisign certificate, indicating that you are safe.

Keep in mind that there are people who are scared of internet fraud on your every net activity. If you do not take precautions, then you can be a victim of internet fraud. So, we advise you to work only on the internet carefully, because one of your mistakes can cause your bank account to be empty. That is, your safety is in your care.
