AUG 12 (WTN) - As you know that after the using of cooking oil, it is thrown into homes, whereas once the used cooking oil is used many times in hotels, restaurants and canteens usually. But, if we tell you that vehicles will be run with the used cooking oil, then you must be surprised to read this. What is the whole matter? Let us explain this in detail.

Actually, as you know that the Modi Government is trying to minimize the pollution caused by vehicles for environmental protection. In this context, the Modi Government is making a policy to use more and more electric run vehicles by the year 2030. At the same time, the Modi Government is also trying to promote the use of biodiesel in the country.

You may have read somewhere, or heard that biodiesel is made from sugarcane. But, now the Modi Government is moving towards produce biodiesel from the used cooking oil too. According to the information, 100 biodiesel plants will be planted in 100 cities of the country to produce biodiesel with the used cooking oil. The Modi Government's plan is to run vehicles by using biodiesel in the coming times.

According to scientists, the use of biodiesel will get rid of pollution. At the same time, the use of biodiesel also gives many benefits to the vehicles. According to the auto expert, running a vehicle with biodiesel increases the service of the engine of the vehicle, and the engine runs longer. Biodiesel can easily be used in BS 6 vehicles.

For your information, let you know that the Modi Government has started a new scheme to produce biodiesel from the used edible oil. For this, the Modi Government has also launched Repurpose Used Cooking Oil (RUCO) sticker and Mobile App for Used Cooking Oil (UCO). It is being said that it will monitor whether the used cooking oil should not be used again through this. Stickers will be installed in hotels, restaurants and canteens. Hotels, restaurants and canteens need to clear that they supply UCO for biodiesel by placing RUCO stickers for this.

For your information, let you know that besides cooking oil; biodiesel is present in many other forms. According to Government statistics, around 2,700 crore liters of cooking oil is used every year in the country. About 140 crore liters of used cooking oil can be collected from hotels, restaurants and canteens. About 110 crore liters of biodiesel can be produced from this 140 crore liters of oil.

For your information, let you know that once used cooking oil is hazardous for health. Reusing of the used cooking oil can cause hypertension, atherosclerosis, Alzheimer's, and liver diseases. Actually, the Government is taking care of the health of the people by using the used cooking oil to make biodiesel. This is why, because when the oil companies take the used cooking oil from hotels, restaurants and canteens to make biodiesel, the used cooking oil will not be used again, and it will not affect the health of the people.

As you know, India imports near about 90 per cent of its oil requirements. India has to spend huge amount of foreign currency in form of US Dollars to fetch oil from abroad. In such a situation, the Modi Government's plan is to reduce dependence on oil imported from abroad by using electric vehicles in the coming years, and using biodiesel in vehicles. In this series, the Modi Government is giving all possible help to the oil companies for making the biodiesel.

According to the information, the oil companies will tie up with private companies for the production of biodiesel in the coming time. These private companies will set up plants to make biodiesel with the help of oil companies. Initially, the oil companies will take biodiesel at Rs 51 per liter, and its price will increase to Rs 52.7 per liter in the second year. At the same time, the price of one liter of biodiesel will increase to Rs 54.5 per liter in the third year. It can be said that this will make diesel cheaper in the coming times. If diesel will be cheaper, then transportation costs will be lower. If everyday used goods transportation costs will be cheaper, then it will control inflation due to lower transportation cost.
