Pakistan ‘shocked’ on the economic front

FATF's regional unit Asia Pacific Group blacklisted Pakistan

AUG 23 WTN) - Pakistan, the country which promotes terrorism, is gradually getting the 'result' of its 'nefarious acts'. Already Pakistan, which is going through a period of economic crisis, has suffered a great 'shock' on the economic front. For your information, let you know that Pakistan has been 'blacklisted' by the Asia Pacific Group (APG), the regional unit of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF), an international organization tracking Terror Funding, while Pakistan was in the 'gray list’.

It is being said about Pakistan, which promotes terrorists and provides them arms and money, that now the FATF may soon put Pakistan on the 'black list'. For your information, let you know that the Asia Pacific Group (APG) had assessed Pakistan's Terror Funding Case on its 11 points, after which Pakistan has proved to be 'failed' in compliance with 10 standards.

Indeed, according to the final report of the nine-nation Asia-Pacific Group (APG), Pakistan has proved to be 'unsuccessful' in meeting 32 of the 40 standards for its legal and financial systems. Pakistan, already facing an economic crisis, has suffered a major setback after being put on the 'suspect list' by the Financial Action Task Force (FATF).

Let us know that the Asia-Pacific Group is a regional unit of the FATF. The Asia Pacific Group (APG) of the FATF is an intergovernmental organization that 'monitors' Terror Funding and Money Laundering in the region. According to experts of the international economy, this decision of the Asia-Pacific Group will have a 'negative' effect on Pakistan's economy. However, whether or not the FATF puts Pakistan on the 'black list' will be decided in the FATF meeting to be held in October.

According to the final report of the APG, Pakistan has proved to be 'unsuccessful' in meeting 32 of the 40 standards for its legal and financial systems. Apart from this, Pakistan has proved to be 'failed' in fulfilling 10 out of 11 criteria for security measures against Terror Funding. It is clear that if Pakistan continues to encourage terrorists in this manner, then the FATF may put Pakistan on the 'black list' in October, because the 15-month time period of FATF's 27-point action plan is ending in October this year.

For your information, let you know that in the case of Pakistan, the APG found that 'flaws' have been done by Islamabad on many fronts. Not only this, a lot of 'deficiencies' and 'flaws' have been found in the efforts being made by Pakistan to stop terror funding and money laundering. At the same time, there is no support from Pakistan on the claims of reform on 50 parameters.

Due to the 'aggressive diplomacy' of the Modi Government to give a befitting reply to the terrorism being spread by Pakistan in India, the US, France, Germany, England put pressure, after which the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) put Pakistan in the suspect list in June 2018. Pakistan will be put on 'negative radar' from October 2019 after the APG found unfavorable facts against Pakistan. That is, it is clear that this will increase the problems for Pakistan even more.

Pakistan, which is already facing the crises on the economic front, has been shocked by the Asia Pacific Group (APG), the regional unit of the FATF, by putting it in the ‘black list’. If the FATF also put Pakistan in the black list, then Pakistan's economy will be on the verge of being 'devastated', as Pakistan faces even more difficulty in taking the loan on the global label after being blacklisted by the FATF. That is, it is clear that the Modi Government's diplomacy to surround Pakistan at the international level is proving to be 'successful'.
