Now Android not to be named on sweets or chocolate!

After all a 10-year-old relationship of Google broke up!

AUG 24 (WTN) - A unique 10-year-old relationship with Google has been broken. You must have wondered that what has happened after all and what old relationship of Google has been broken. Actually, Google has ended its old tradition of naming Android version on any dessert or chocolate. In this context, Google has named Android Q as Android 10. For your information, let you know that for the last 10 years, Google was naming its Android version on various sweets or chocolates. But ending this tradition, Google has renamed its next Android version to Android 10.

Google has given a lot of logic behind this step. Google argues that with this change, it wants to connect Android directly to global users. So far, all the versions of Android launched by Google had their names based on some dessert or chocolate. But now the name of the new version of Android is not based on any sweets or chocolate, instead it is named Android 10 only.

With the change of name, Google has also changed the color of Android as well. Now the color of Android has changed from green to black. Google claims that doing so will improve its visibility. Although, changing the color of Android is a small change of Google, but the reasoning behind this change is that Google did not look good. After changing the name and changing the color, Google will release the final update of Android 10 in a few weeks.

Always in favor of something new and change, Google says that their engineering team have always been using the name of a sweet food item like a dessert or chocolate for every new version of Android, as an internal code name based on alphabet order.

For your information, let you  know that every year there was a lot of discussion about the name of the new Android version of Google, but Google has now changed the new version of Android to the number format by not naming it on sweet or chocolate. Google's argument about this is that Android's name as a global operating system should be clear and connected to all the people of the world. That's why Google has used the normal number in the new version of Android and will do the same in the future.

For your information, let you know that the new version of Android of Google was to be named after the English word in the alphabet order. However, the company says that there are many sweets or chocolate names from the English word ‘Q’. But Google says that it thought of 2.5 billion active devices and Android 10 version, and thought that this is the right time to change it.

By the way, for your information, let you know that this is the 10th year of Android and next year users can get to see Android 11. Not only this, many more such versions can be seen in the coming time. Google first launched Android 1.5, which was named Cupcake. After this Google released Android 1.6 version, named Donut. This was followed by Android 2.0. At the same time, Android 2.1 version was named Éclairs.

Further Google launched Android 2.2-Froyo version, then Android 2.3, Android 2.4-Gingerbread. After this Android 3.0, 3.1,3.2- Honeycomb, Android 4.0- Ice Cream Sandwich, Android 4.1- Jellybean, Android 4.4- KitKat, Android 5- Lollipop, Android 6- Marshmallow, Android 7- Nougat, Android 8- Oreo and Android 9- Pie.

For years, the Android version of Google and the names based on sweets or chocolate were discussed all over the world. Whenever there was a discussion about the launch of the new Android version of Google, there was curiosity in everyone's mind that what name Google is going to name for its new version of Android. When Google CEO Sundar Pichai visited India once, he was also asked whether any Android version of Google would be named on the famous South Indian dish Idli. Well now the tradition of naming Google's version of Android on a dessert or chocolate is now history.
