11th International Echo Course and Workshop held at Bhopal

Bhopal, Sep 15: The 11th International Echo Course and Workshop was inaugurated by P.C. Sharma, Minister Law & Legal Affairs, Public Relations, Science & Technology Govt. of M.P at Hotel Courtyard Marriott, Bhopal. He said that participating in this International Course is a golden opportunity for physicians who can sharpen their skills and enable them to treat their patients in a better way. He further said that doctors should not only treat their patients but also be very sympathetic with them.

Presiding over the inaugural ceremony, P.C. Sharma, said that every person should pay attention to his health and only when population is healthy, the country will make progress. He further said that such programmes should be organized from time to time so that the physician increase their knowledge and impart better services to the patients.

Organizing Chairman Dr. P.C. Manoria said that Echocardiography is the most widely used imaging technology in the world and the magic of echocardiography continues unabated. With this technique one can directly visualize any part of the heart and pick up diseases easily and therefore echocardiography has become the third eye of the cardiologist. Dr P. C. Manoria further said that Echocardiography is a patient friendly test and no preparation is required for it.

Organizing Secretary Dr. Pankaj Manoria said that live demonstration of echocardiography was exhibited on patients with different types of heart disease which immensely benefited the delegates. Several interesting cases of echocardiography were also demonstrated. He further said that in future it is likely we may be using echocardiography in place of stethoscope.

Dr. I.B. Vijayalakshmi, Professor of Cardiology Bengaluru Medical College & PSSMY Multispecialty Hospital, Bengaluru said that Dr. Manoria has put Bhopal on the map of India in terms of health. Dr. S.C. Govind Cardiologist from Narayana Hospital, Bengaluru, Dr. Sanjay Mittal Cardiologist from Medanta Hospital Gurugram & Dr. Prabhavathi Professor Cardiology, Jayadeva Institute of Cardiology, Bengaluru were also present on this occasion.

Dr. S.K. Parashar offered vote of thanks. Delegates from different parts of the country participated in the conference in large numbers and appreciated the proceedings of the programme.- Window To News
