New Delhi, Sep 19 (IANS) The Aam Aadmi Party on Thursday said the BJP had made a false promise to the people of Delhi when it said the unauthorised colonies will be regularised in six months.AAP leaders Atishi and Saurabh Bhardwaj slammed Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari for saying the BJP will regularise unauthorised colonies in the national capital within six months and on September 22 Delhi BJP leaders will go to unauthorised colonies to apprise them about the work done."Today we are here to ask some questions to Tiwari and our first question would be, has the BJP become like the Congress party? We are raising this question because earlier before every election the Congress party used to go to the unauthorised colonies and say that if they are voted to power then the party will regularise the colonies. But in reality, till today nothing like that happened," Said Atishi. She also said that this time the BJP has started showing an unrealistic dream to the people of unauthorised colonies by saying that the party will regularise the colonies within six months."In the next six months the election of Delhi assembly will be over and the BJP will not do anything for the residents of the unauthorised colonies," said Atishi. She said Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri had on July 23 said that within a month the regularisation of the unauthorised colonies of Delhi will happen."Puri also claimed that a draft cabinet note on the matter is ready and the draft has been sent to all the stakeholders of Delhi including the L-G and the Delhi government. He also said that the final decision of the regularisation of colonies will be passed in the Cabinet within a month. Therefore, our question to Tiwari is that does he not want to keep the promise made by his own party-led government in the Centre and has he accepted the fact that the BJP will not keep the promise?"Atishi further said that when the Centre sent the draft Cabinet note on the matter to the Delhi government, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal directed all the departments to not raise any issue on the proposal so that the note gets approval from the Centre within a month."Kejriwal also directed the Delhi government departments to prepare an action plan on how the registration of the residents of unauthorised colonies would be done in Delhi after the Centre passes the regularisation proposal. He also said that the registration should happen at an affordable price. But today after the statement from Tiwari we feel that this was a fake promise by the Centre," said Atishi. She also said that neither the Congress nor BJP has done anything for the Delhi's unauthorised colonies but the AAP government is working for the people of unauthorised colonies."Our government is working on projects to lay pipelines, making roads and also sewage system development. Now pipeline has reached many unauthorised colonies. Our last question to Tiwari is that if the BJP government really has any intention to regularise the unauthorised colonies or not?" Atishi added.Bhardwaj echoed her and said in July Puri made it clear to the people that the Centre can regularise the unauthorised colonies."They have said that the Centre will do it within a month and now they cannot say that Kejriwal did not allow them to work on the matter," said Bharadwaj. He also said BJP's promise was as fake as the promise of stopping the sealing drive in Delhi."Now a day before September 22, when Tiwari will go to the unauthorised colonies, the AAP will reach out to the people of the unauthorised colonies and will observe 'Dhoka Diwas'. We will tell people the reality so that next day they can ask the questions to Tiwari," he added.Tiwari on Wednesday alleged the Delhi government does not have any intention to work for the unauthorised colonies.
