Pakistani craving for roti with Imran Khan Government’s mismanagement

JAN 22 (WTN) - The whole world knows how India's neighboring country Pakistan promotes terrorist activities. Pakistan has been spending money for years in training terrorists to spread terror in India and providing them financial help and weapons. But the economic condition of this Pakistan is getting worse day by day that even the people are not able to get roti to eat in Pakistan. Yes, the people of Pakistan already struggling with the economic crisis are now facing a shortage of flour. According to the information received from the media, in many states of Pakistan, people are not getting flour and therefore they are getting rotis at very expensive prices to eat.

For your information, let us know that the people of Punjab, Baluchistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Balochistan are facing a shortage of flour these days. There has been so much shortage of flour in many places in these states that due to lack of roti and naan roti, many people are living only by eating rice. The news is that the lack of flour has had such an effect that many shops making naan in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province have to be closed. Not only this, due to the lack of flour and price rise, Naanbai who prepares naan, has gone on strike.

However, on the question of people not getting roti to eat, the administration says that there is no shortage of flour or wheat, but a deliberate flourishing crisis is being created to discredit the government and make a profit. At the same time, the government also says that the biggest reason for the rise in the price of flour is the strike of transporters in recent times. According to the government, due to the strike, mills have not been able to supply wheat on time, and prices are seeing a boom due to reduced supply and increased demand.

Here, the local administration says that there is no shortage of flour, but in order to earn profits and discredit the government, the flour is being blacklisted in a planned manner. But keeping in view the resentment of people from flour shortage, the Imran Khan government has taken steps to complete the shortage of flour at the earliest. According to the information, the government of Pakistan has approved the import of 3 lakh tonnes of wheat, but the first shipment of imports from abroad may take up to 15 February. However, Pakistan's Imran Khan government has not made it clear from which country it will buy wheat. By the way, private companies of Pakistan can import wheat from whichever country they want.

Due to the shortage of flour in Pakistan, the prices of flour and roti have increased drastically and hence the Imran Khan government of Pakistan is pressuring the shopkeepers to sell bread and roti at a lower price in view of the public anger. Actually, Imran Khan Government’s mismanagement is more responsible behind the shortage of wheat, flour, and roti in Pakistan. Wheat is produced in Pakistan, but not so much that they export it.

Pakistan exported 6 lakh metric tons of wheat between the ends of 2018 to June 2019, even after production as per the requirement. But after receiving complaints of shortage of wheat in the country, the export of wheat was banned in July 2019. But even after the ban on wheat exports, around 48 thousand tonnes of wheat was exported until the month of October. Even after the ban, the opposition parties had opposed the government on the export of wheat and demanded a probe. Opposition parties allege that there is a big scam in Pakistan in the name of wheat and deliberate shortage of wheat and flour is being created so that selected people can make a profit.

Trouble over the lack of flour, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has given strict orders to deal with hoarding and reduce prices. But this order of the government has backfired. A Khyber Pakhtunkhwa institution has announced a strike to protest the government's decision. On the other hand, many other organizations of the Punjab province have given a 5-day ultimatum to the government, saying that if the government does not allow them to increase the price of flour; they will also go on an indefinite strike.

At the same time, the Association of Hotel Operators has asked the Imran Khan government to provide flour at the old rate. They say that if the government does not do this, then they should be allowed to increase the prices of roti and naan. It is clear that due to the negligence and alleged corruption of Imran Khan Government, the price of flour in Pakistan has increased so much that people are facing trouble even for eating roti. It would be better that instead of focusing on increasing terrorist activities in India; Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan should provide two times food to the people of his country.
