IPS Service Meet 2017- A Day full of Enjoyment and Fun

The Two-day MP IPS Association annual Service meet took off with the inaugural speech by Dr Sitasharan Sharma, speaker of Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly at the Vidhan Sabha on the morning of 7th April. Whereas the cultural actives were concluded on Saturday, the 8th of April. ADGP Pawan Jain co-ordinated the event which was held under patronship of DGP Rishi Kumar Shukla.

The annual sports meet for the families of IPS officers of Madhya Pradesh took place at the People’s Mall Bhanpur Bhopal. 

"The Madhya Pradesh IPS association took the initiative of organising the very first-ever service meet last year in January 2016 and has continued the trend this year too," said DSP Richa Choubey.
 


The IPS officers participated in today's meet with utmost joy and enthusiasm. The event was lined up with many fun games. The air-conditioned premises with the availability of top class infrastructure made it convenient for the children and families to enjoy to the fullest even while the mercury is shooting up outside. The water sports took place at the Peoples Water Park which was actually scheduled to take place during the second half, however, the children were so enthusiastic and eager that they rushed to the water park even before the event started. Of course, the scorching heat is somewhat responsible. Who wouldn't like to take a dip in the cool pool water during the summers?  The water park Peoples is known for its exciting water rides.

 
The indoor event started at the Sea Princess with the lemon spoon race for children and women. Where Saumya Choudhary stood 1st, Ananya Choudhary was the 1st  Runner up and Kareena Rai was the 2nd runner-up.

The second event was “Pocket the ball in the Basket”,  for children where Akshat Meena won the race by basketing  7 balls. Arpana Rai scored 2nd position. For the 3rd position was a real tussle, 3 contestants for one position, for a surprise  Arjita and Aditi the sister duo fought for the 3rd position. Where Arjita scored high and ended sharing the 3rd position with Sanika Raokar.

 
The third event in the series was couple game called “Carry the Balloon to the finishing line”. This was the moment when true understanding between couples was seen between the IPS couples. The concept of the game was to hold the balloon in between by the spine which was much fun. The game was explained by Aruna Mohan Rao, ADG, Crimes Against Women Cell,  the lady who is often seen in a serious profile was in a full-of-fun avatar and could be seen enjoying and describing the rules and concept to her fellow officers, it was wonderful to see the smile on the face of husbands and wives trying to cope up with the game and become the winning couple. Didn't matter who won, it was the excitement and enthusiasm making many couples enjoy to the fullest. The game concluded with three rounds.

 Winner for the 1st round;  Mahesh Jain, Mr Makrand Dandekar and Shashi Kant Shukla.

Winner for the 2nd round: Ashutosh Rai, Chandrashekhar and Poonam Choudhary and Tanshree Verma.
Later in the series was the balancing game for all age groups where the participants were supposed to balance a small cane basket over their head. Chandrashekhar Solanki stood 1st in race whereas Gaurav Tiwari 2nd and Shashikant Shukla stood 3rd. 

The last game in the series was Match the cards, and where Ritu Singh Gaur and Savita Suhane stood 1st, Mr and Mrs Deepak Verma were the 1st runner-up and Mr and Mrs R K Marathi ranked the 2nd runner-up.

The real fun started when the music amalgamated in the air and the rocker performers from the R K Creation Group presented the orchestra which lead to the Antakshri program. In the Antakshari competition, Jabalpur and Indore were declared winners jointly. Bhopal landed up as the 1st runner-up position and Gwalior zone stood the 2nd runner-up. 

The meet was concluded with the presentation of prizes to the winners by the hands of ADG Rajendra Kumar,  K N Tiwari and Alok Pateriya.- Window To News
