Flavours of Bengal @ Jehanuma

Thursday - April 27, 2017 10:20 am , Category : WTN SPECIAL

The Jehanuma Palace has organised a Bengali food festival from the 27th to the 30th April at the Shahnama Restaurant from 7:30 pm to 11 pm. The speciality of this festival is that there is no Bhopali touch to the flavours and you could taste the original Bengali food being cooked by Chef Satya, Chef Pradeep Pal, and Chef Mohammed Isttiak who are specially flown in from Kolkata who will bring to you the original flavours inspired from the culinary capital of Bengal.

Bengali cuisine is known for its subtle yet sometimes fiery flavours, It also has a huge spread of sweets and desserts. This 4-day festival will consist of some mouthwatering dishes like Kasha Mangsho (A local favourite mutton curry), Bhapa Paneer (steamed cottage cheese),
Shorshe Hilsa (Hilsa fish in rich mustard gravy) and many more famous Bengali preparations.

It is not that being a Bengali food festival that it will be limited to only fish or non-veg but the Chefs have also added a variety of vegetarian dishes to the menu especially for the veg lovers.

The authentic Bengali spices and aroma will add to the delight with every bite.

Wish to congratulate the executive Chef Mr. Akash Chatterjee for such a brilliant and unique idea to arrange Bengali food festival at Jahannuma. No doubt this will attract a lot of Bengali individuals and families at Bhopal to enjoy all the special Bengali dishes. Wish a great success of this fantastic food festival.
