Revenue Minister Gupta reviews Budhwa Mangal Mela preparations at Dandrouadham

Bhopal: Revenue Minister and Bhind district in charge Umashankar Gupta said that in the preparations of Budhwa mela, public representatives, office-bearers of three-tier panchayat and urban bodies, voluntary organizations, social workers, devotees and departmental officers should make efforts to brace arrangements. Gupta was addressing a review meeting of preparations of the Dandrouadham mela. Minister incharge Gupta told them to pay special attention to cleanliness and waste management during the mela.

Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Narmada Valley Development Lalsingh Arya, Ramdasji Maharaj, MLA Choudhury Mukesh Singh Chaturvedi, Hemant Katare, District Cooperative Bank President K.P.Singh and senior officers of the district were also present.

Minister of State Lalsingh Arya said at the meeting that the Budhwa Mangal Mela will be organized on September 5, 2017 this year also and on the same day Ganesh Visarjan will also be held. He said the administration and police officers should make foolproof arrangements for law and order etc. MLA Choudhury Mukesh Singh Chaturvedi laid stress on tightening traffic system. He also expressed the need to make effective arrangements of lighting, drinking water and barricading to facilitate devotees to have darshan of Sakhi roop Hanumanji at the fair.

A committee chaired by Minister in charge Umashankar Gupta was formed for public participation in Budhwa Mangal Mela. Director of Bihari Vidyalaya, Bhind Rajesh Sharma was nominated chairman of the committee. MLA Choudhury Mukesh Singh Chaturvedi of Mehgaon announced to give Rs 10 lakhs from MLA fund for the arrangements at Dandrouadham temple at Budhwa Mangal Mela.

Minister in charge Gupta, Minister of State Lalsingh Arya, MLA Choudhury Mukesh Singh Chaturvedi, Hemant Katare, Sanjeev Kankar, District Cooperative Bank President K.P. Singh, Mandi Preisdent Sajjan Singh Yadav and Rajkumar Gupta, Director of Bihari Vidyalaya Rajesh Sharma, Jouri Sarpanch Akhilesh Purohot, social worker Omprakash Agrawal agreed to contribute Rs 20,000 each for assistance in the Mela.

Giving information about Mela preparations during the meeting Collector Dr. Illaiyaraja T. said that arrangement for road, water, electricity etc. would be completed apart from ensuring law and order, cleanliness, drinking water, waste management and barricading. Health camp and 108 ambulance arrangement will also be made. The Collector said that the magistrate will be on duty to make mela arrangements more effective.

Bhoomi-pujan of development works

Minister in charge Umashankar Gupta performed bhoomi-pujan of development works of Rs 13.10 lakh and Rs 13.97 lakh C.C. Road construction at Dandraouadham Parisar, nullah construction work worth Rs 14.75 lakh through MNREGA and community hall worth Rs 5.35 lakh.

Minister in charge Gupta and Minister of State Arya visited Sakhi roop Hanuman at Dandrouadham along with public representatives and took stock of the Mela arrangements. Minister Gupta, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Narmada Valley Development Lalsingh Arya and MLAs and others alongwith Ramdas Ji Maharaj of Dandrouadham planted neem saplings at the temple premises.-WTN
