Target to Irrigate 100 Percent Agriculture Sector in State: Dr. Mishra

Honoured Farmers on Balram Jayanti in Datia
Bhopal: Public Relations, Water Resources and Parliamentary Affairs Minister, Dr. Narottam Mishra said that special projects are being started for farmers as regard to the irrigation. Irrigation area from 7.50 lakh hectare has grown up to 40 lakh hectare in the state. The state government has set a target to irrigate 100 percent agriculture sector. Dr. Mishra was addressing the Kisan Samman Samaroh held at Datia on the occasion of Balram Jayanti today. Dr. Mishra honoured 51 farmers presenting them with shawls and shreephals on the occasion.
Moreover, Dr. Mishra mentioned that formation of Krishi Cabinet, separate arrangement for agriculture budget, concrete arrangement for loans less than zero percent interest rate are ensured by the government in the state. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is a son of a farmer and he is committed for the progress of the farmers. Farmer Leader Virendra Singh Rana and Ranjeet Singh Rana also expressed their views on the occasion.
Problems of Bidi Labourers to be Solved Soon
Dr. Narottam Mishra in a Bidi Labourers’ convention at Badoni of Datia district issued directives to the district administration to hold camps for immediate redressal of bidi labourers’s problems at Tahsil and Nagar Panchayat Badoni. Also to ensure benefits of the schemes to the bidi labourers dwelling in urban areas, he added. He mentioned that 620 registered bidi labourers of Badoni area should be benefitted on priority. Unregistered but eligible bidi labourers should be registered and apprised about the benefits of the schemes beside granting them all necessary facilities.
Collector Datia Madan Kumar informed that a Ratnanandita campaign is being conducted in Datia district for the welfare of bidi labourers under the social justice schemes. Vikram Singh Bundela and several other public representatives were present in the programme.-WTN
