Lauds state government’s Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana

Bhopal: NITI Aayog member Rameshchand today met Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan at the Mantralaya. During the meeting he praised the state government’s Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana. He said that this scheme is among the priorities of the NITI Aayog. The Chief Minister said that the state government has implemented the scheme to ensure that the farmers get a fair price for their produce.

CM Chouhan said that this scheme will ensure that farmers do not get a price lesser than the support price. If the market price is less than support price, then this scheme has a transparent system of getting the price difference amount in the account of the farmers. Contract farming is a solution to double the income of farmers which would be beneficial to small farmers. This is being encouraged in the state.
