Three champions in Water Sports, from Madhya Pradesh Sports  Academy, Bhopal  to represent India in Hong Kong Asian Sailing Championship


 Harshita Tomar, Uma Chauhan, and Ashish Vishwakarma have selected to representation Madhya Pradesh Sports Academy( Tatya Tope Stadium Bhopal) in Asian Sailing Championship.

IODA is about to be held in Hong Kong between September 29 and October 6, 2017. Three players from Madhya Pradesh State Water Sports Academy in the squad of five selected to represent team India in the  Asian Sailing Championship. These include Harshita Tomar, Uma Chauhan, and Ashish Vishwakarma. Sports Minister congratulated and offered best wishes to the participant champions.  

The players will perform the talent in the Optimist Class boat event. About 20 countries are participating in the championship. The players left from Chennai today to take part in the Asian Sailing Championship. Earlier, in these national training camps held in Chennai, these players received 12-day training to prepare for the championship.
    
It is worth mentioning that Harshita Tomar has won the bronze medal in the Asian Seling Championship held in Abu Dhabi in 2015, and enhances the prestige of the state. Likewise, Uma Chauhan has also been the National Champion in the Optimism for the past two years. Ashish Vishwakarma recently earned a bronze medal in the King Bhoj Multiclass Championship.

In the five-member Indian team going to Hong Kong for the Asian Sailing Championship, the State Sports, and Youth Welfare Minister, Yashodhara Raje Scindia congratulated, the young squad. 

While expressing happiness, the Sports Minister said that our players are regularly earning medals by leading the Indian team in international tournaments and winning the medals, making Madhya Pradesh proud. 

He has greeted all the three players  Tomar, Uma Chauhan, and Ashish Vishwakarma while encouraging them to excel in Asian Sailing Championship. 

Operator Sports and Youth Welfare Shri Upendra Jain has also expressed his happiness over selecting the players of Water Sports Academy in the Asian Sailing Championship.
