Ladli Shiksha Parv to be organised on October 12

Bhopal: Ladli Shiksha Parv will be organised in the state on October 12. Meetings will be organised under this fest at each district headquarter. The main event will be organised at CM’s residence in which Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chuan will distribute scholarships to Ladli Lakshmi girls taking admission in Class VI. Chouhan took stock of the preparations for the Ladli Shiksha Parv. He instructed officers to make proper arrangements for the event so that the Ladli Lakshmis do not have to face any difficulty.

The Chief Minister directed to ensure health examination of the Ladli Lakshmi girls so that they remain healthy. He said that no girl taking admission in Class VI should remain deprived of the scholarship. Women and Child Development Smt. Archana Chitnis was also present at the meeting. In the meantime it was informed that about 65 thousand girls taking admission in Class VI will be given scholarships of Rs 2, 000 each during Ladli Shiksha Parv. Apart from this, they will be provided with iron, folic acid tablets after health examination and will be given information regarding nutrition. The main event will be directly telecast. The Chief Minister’s address will be aired from all district headquarters.

Principal Secretary Women and Child Development J.N. Kansotia told that last year 21,000 Ladli Lakshmis were given scholarships. There are total 26 lakh 30 thousand ladli lakshmis in the state. Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Ashok Vernawal, Commissioner Women and Child Development Smt. Jaishree Kiyawat, Secretary to the Chief Minister Vivek Agarwal and other officers were present at the meeting.-Windowtonews
