Self-employment paves way for creativity in youths

Union Minister Gehlot at Mudra Promotion programme in Indore 

Bhopal: Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Thawarchand Gehlot said that the Centre and State government is making constant efforts to provide self-employment to youths. This has paved way for creativity among youths. He called upon each skilled youth to generate employment for at least 5 youths. Gehlot was addressing the Mudra Promotion Campaign Programme at Indore’s Brilliant Convention Centre.

Gehlot said that youth constitute a major part of India’s population. This has given India a special place in the world. He said that revolutionary decisions like demonetisation and GST have been taken in the country and now its positive outcome has started coming in. This will also strengthen India’s economy in the near future. The Centre believes in Sabka Saath- Sabka Vikas. He said that in the last two years 4 crore 50 lakh youths have been given loans under Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana. The loans have been given without any guarantee. Gehlot told that skill enhancement training has been imparted to 3 lakh youths in the last three years. He said that the bank officials at the camp should extend all possible help in the self-employment cases.

Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Sanjay Pathak said during the programme that youth are the energy of the country. State and central government are constantly working on connecting them with education and employment. In Madhya Pradesh, youths have been provided with loans worth Rs 14,500 crores for swarozgar in the last three years. He said that Scheduled Caste, tribes, Backward Class, Disabled and women should be given loans on priority under the Swarozgar Yojana. Mayor Smt. Malini Goud addressed the programme. MLAs including Mahendra Hardia, Smt. Usha Thakur and Sudarshan Gupta were present on the occasion.-Windowtonews
