District wise review of revenue department to be made now: Chief Secretary Singh

Instruction to take seriously cases of Chief Minister Helpline 

Bhopal: Chief Secretary Basant Pratap Singh today carried out review of revenue department under Bhopal division. Singh issued instruction in the meeting to concentrate on revenue recovery without harassing the poor man. Issue order in diversion cases in time limit so that the government can get revenue on time. Loss to the government due to carelessness of any officer won't be tolerated. Action will be taken identifying those who have carelessness attitude. Singh issued instructions to collectors to lodge FIR against responsible officers for not availing record in revenue cases.

 Singh said that take seriously the cases filed on Chief Minister Helpline for redressal so that public can get relief and grievances can be redressed in qualitative manner. The Chief Secretary said that the government will recruit patwari on 9500 posts. Contractual appointments will be given on deputy collector posts for redressal of revenue cases. Singh issued instructions to redress pending cases in 15 days by holding joint meeting of town and country planning department and revenue department.

 Chief Secretary Singh said that first review meeting of revenue department was held in Bhopal. Considerable change has been witnessed since then. Complaints related with revenue department have reduced. Revenue inspections have been focused. He said that more inspection is required at patwari level. Now district wise review will be made by expanding the scope of divisional review meeting.

Inspection will be held in all 51 districts. Improvement will be brought at every level.
 District-wise review was made in redressal of cases under Public Service Guarantee in the meeting. Instructions were issued to take application only after cross-checking on the basis of checklist at Public Service Centres. It was informed in the meeting that district-wise officer on special duty will be deputed to update information related with pending cases in high court on software. It was also informed in the review meeting that general information will be taken online with objective to make working of revenue department paperless after October 15.

Instructions were issued in the meeting regarding recording Seva Bhoomi of urban areas in Najul, status of natural disaster and relief fund distribution, distribution of Khasra and B-1 copies.

 In the review meeting, Principal Secretary, Revenue, Arun Pandey, Secretary, Public Service Management, Hariranjan Rao, Secretary, Revenue, P Narhari, Additional Secretary, Revenue Rajneesh Shrivastava, Commissioner, Bhopal Division, Ajatshatru Shrivastava, Commissioner, Town and Country Planning, Sandeep Yadav and collectors, additional collectors, deputy collectors, Tehsildars and Naib Tehsildars of Bhopal, Raisen, Sehore, Vidisha and Rajgarh districts were present.-Windowtonews
