Lok Seva Kendras Proved Effective in Badwani

Bhopal: Lok Seva Kendras are proving to be effective in tribal dominated area Badwani. As many as 7 lakh 40 thousand 567 persons availed benefit of prescribed services through 9 Lok Seva Kendras established in the district under the Public Service Guarantee Act. This statistic holds a significant importance among the population of about 14 lakh of the district. Moreover, this also proves that every second citizens of the district has availed benefit in the district.

Under the Act, single Lok Seva Kendra was opened at District Headquarters on September 25. At the later stage, Lok Seva Kendras at 6 blocks of the district on January 26, 2013 and 2 centers at tahsil level were opened on April 20, 2016.

Benefit was availed by the applicants within the stipulated time by Badwani center to One lakh 27 thousand 687 applicants and to 65 thousand 708 applicants by Pati center. Similarly, 55 thousand 22 applicants were benefitted by Niwali, One lakh 18 thousand 266 by Rajpur, One lakh 8 thousand 186 by Theekri, 97 thousand 758 by Pansemal, One lakh 51 thousand 410 by Sendhwa, 8 thousand 202 by Anjad and 8 thousand 328 by Varla Center.

On the basis of services, One lakh 35 thousand 516 services under the services of revenue department, 4 lakh 82 thousand 873 services under the general administration department, One thousand 675 services under the energy department, 2 thousand 226 services under the labour department, 4 thousand 13 services under the urban development and housing department, 26 thousand 620 services under the panchayat and rural development department, One thousand 947 services under the planning department, 3 thousand 986 services under the social justice department, 9 thousand 30 services under the food department and 6 thousand 228 services under the public health and engineering department were provided to the applicants by these 9 centers till date.-Windowtonews
