Execution starts on roadmap for Antoday through Cooperatives

Bhopal: Execution on the roadmap for Antoday through cooperatives has started by Cooperatives Department. Initially, positive results have also started to come.
More than 300 co-operative societies have been formed and activated in new areas of cooperatives. The societies are working to transform the concept of Antoday on the ground by looking for new sources of employment.

Identification of new cooperative areas

The 'innovation cell', constituted as per the recommendations of Sahkari Manthan- 2016, is working effectively. Total 315 societies were formed by selecting new areas and primary agricultural credit, seed production and other areas in the state in last one year. In the new areas, 26 cooperatives societies in tourism sector, 15 in e-rickshaw auto, 20 in transport, 30 in service providers and 46 cooperative societies in organic farming were constituted. 65 in the resident area, 31 in social forestry and horticulture, 54 in labour contract, 18 in poultry form for Kadaknath production, 2 in warehousing, each one committee in computer technology, uniform and security committee were constituted. Members of the societies are being made entrepreneurs by linking them with various employment oriented schemes and providing capital equal to their contribution capital along with formation.

e-rickshaw cooperative societies

e-Rickshaw Sanchalan Sahkari Samiti explored the prospects available in environment friendly small routes and main routes. Ten e-rikshaw Transportation society Jabalpur, two by Sagar, 3 by Rewa and 5 e-rickshaw by Gandhvani District, Dhar are being operated. Director of Dhar District e-Rikshaw Co-operative Society, Rishabh Patni and president Sadashiv Patwa had told success story of e-rickshaw operation in rural areas to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari. Guiding Hands Transport Co-operative Society, Dhar is successfully operating rikshaw on route connecting the main road to the village.

Tourism co-operatives societies

Cooperative Tourism Societies have given encouraging results in the last one year. So far, 31 cooperative tourism societies have come into existence. The societies are getting success in enhancing the sensitivity of common citizens towards environmental protection. The Chhindwara Tourism Co-operative Society has achieved remarkable success in the field of adventure sports by rural youths of Patalkot. Kadaknath Poultry Co-operative Societies has also achieved rapid success in Jhabua.

Three-level composite development plan

According to Minister of State for Cooperatives (independent charge) Vishwas Sarang, Cooperatives Department is striving for providing other alternative means of employment, available in villages, along with agriculture as part of inclusive rural development. A three-level comprehensive development plan has been chalked out by the department. Local societies at village level, district committee at district level and federation at state level will be formed. Rural level societies will produce on the basis of raw material available in their own area. District societies will avail raw material and essential capital to these societies. Cooperatives banks will provide required fund to district societies through state level federation. The district society will carry out storage, marketing and distribution of products. It is important that local societies will manufacture goods for different needs so that their market can be developed.-Windowtonews
