Chinese shares open lower
Beijing : Chinese stocks opened lower on Thursday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.03 per cent to open at 3,157.91 points. The smaller Shenzhen Component index opened 0.02 per cent lower at 10,382.59 points, Xinhua news agency reported. The ChiNext Index, Chinas NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, was down 0.04 per cent to open at 1,990.70 points. -IANS
