Mizoram CM presents Rs 3,588 crore vote on account

Aizawl, March 19 (IANS) Mizoram Chief Minister Zoramthanga tabled the Rs 3,588.85 crore vote on account for the first four months of 2019-20 in the Assembly, here on Tuesday.Zoramthanga who also holds the finance portfolio said Mizoram was witnessing significant growth in terms of socio-economic progress with the state gross domestic product (SGDP) projected to be at Rs 22,238.92 at current price at an estimated rate of 12.5 per cent for 2018-19."In view of the election model code of conduct, the state government is unable to present the full-fledged budget," the Chief Minister said. He said the projected growth rate was amazing compared with the national growth rate of 7.3 per cent.The Chief Minister also presented a Rs 2,926.55 crore supplementary demand for grants for 2018-19.
