Markets open on positive note

Mumbai, Nov 20 (IANS) The 30-scrip Sensitive Index (Sensex) on Wednesday opened on a positive note.The Sensex of the BSE opened at 40,729.80 and touched a high of 40,736.14 and a low of 40,575.96. It is up by 177.93 points or 0.44 per cent from its Tuesday's close at 40,469.70 and is trading at 40,647.63 at 9.30 a.m.On the other hand, the broader 50-scrip Nifty at National Stock Exchange (NSE) opened at 12,004.75 after closing at 11,940.10. The Nifty is trading at 11,994.50 in the morning.
