FEB 12 (WTN) - Everyone wishes that they get information about their health in less money and without any hassle. In the modern era, due to bad eating habits and irregular routines, the human being has to face various diseases. At the same time, due to lack of time or no money, people are not able to get their health routine checked. In such a situation, Indian Railways has started Health ATM to provide quick medical reports to the people.

Actually, passengers waiting for a train on the railway station platform have a lot of time. In such a situation, using this time properly, passengers can easily get their medical checkups done at a very low price. Railways have installed these Health ATMs at selected railway stations in the country under the 'New Innovative and Idea Scheme', to achieve non-fair revenue. For your information, let us tell you the idea of non-fair revenue came into existence for the first time in the year 2010-11, after which it was implemented. But for many years it did not earn much. However, Railways claim that the initiative has earned a good amount from this initiative in the last year.

Talk about the Health ATM, then for your information, let us know that with the help of this, a printed slip comes out of the machine in a few seconds after the examination, in which the result of the medical examination of the person conducting the test. With the help of this machine, 16 tests, including mass index, hydrogen level, blood pressure, blood sugar, and protein level check in the body, are achieved for just 50 to 100 rupees. Railways claim that all these tests are being done at a much cheaper price and in less time, whereas a person has to spend more money on these investigations. According to the railways, a special kind of a point of care device and software has been installed in these machines to provide quick medical reports after the medical examination.

For your information, let us know that this initiative has been taken in a partnership with Railways under the Fit India Movement program. Indian Railways has introduced this special facility to take care of the health of the passengers. Explain that from the Health ATM kiosk, you can check many parameters including bone mass, body mass index, BP, metabolic age, body fat, hypertension, pulse rate, height, muscle mass, body temperature, body oxygen content, and weight.

In fact, as you know, the railways have to face losses even after passenger fares and freight earnings. In such a situation, in order to increase the revenue receipts, rail fares have been increased recently, but even after this, the railway losses are not reducing. At the same time, the public cannot be offended by increasing rail fares too. In such a situation, the Railways is now increasing its earnings through non-fair revenue. Explain that about 15 to 20 percent of the total annual revenue of the Railways comes from non-fair revenue. Until recently, railways used to collect non-fair revenue only through the advertisements, but now railways have started trying many other methods to get non-fair revenue.
