DoT taking a call on relief in AGR issue: Finance Minister

New Delhi, Feb 26 (IANS) Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Wednesday said that the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) is taking a call on relief to telcos in respect of the payment towards AGR dues."Meetings have taken place. DoT is taking a call. We will have to wait for Department to take the call," she said at an event where she met PSU bank chiefs.Telecom companies chiefs -- Sunil mittal of Airtel and Kumar Mangalam Birla of Vodafone idea have met the Minister recently seeking relief for the sector as a whole and Vodafone Idea is also seeking various measures explicitly on AGR dues related payments.
