Debbie Reynolds died of intercerebral haemorrhage

Tuesday - January 10, 2017 1:46 pm , Category : ENTERTAINMENT

Legendary actress Debbie Reynolds died from an intracerebral hemorrhage caused by high blood pressure.

The official death certificate details the star's cause of death as an intracerebral hemorrhage (a stroke) and cites hypertension (abnormally high blood pressure) as an underlying cause, reported E! online.

The 84-year-old star was rushed to the hospital on December 28, 2016 after suffering a stroke in her Beverly Hills home. She died only one day after her daughter Carrie Fisher, 60, passed away after suffering a massive heart attack.

Confirming Reynolds' death, son Todd Fisher had said, "She went to be with Carrie. In fact, those were the last words she spoke this morning."

Since the beloved stars' passing, Hollywood has come together to celebrate the lives of one unforgettable mother-daughter duo.

A joint funeral was held last Friday at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park in the Hollywood Hillst o honor Fisher and Reynolds, and some of the Star Wars fixture's ashes were reportedly buried with her mother.

At last night's 2017 Golden Globes, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association also paid tribute to Reynold and Fisher with an emotional video segment about their careers. -IANS
