John Schneider sentenced to jail
Los Angeles June 12 (IANS) Actor John Schneider has been sentenced to jail after failing to pay alimony to estranged wife Elvira.
The "Dukes of Hazzard" star was sentenced on Monday for three days in L.A. County jail. Schneider was given a March deadline to pay up more than $150 000 reports tmz.com.
The judge at the time told him he had to transfer his property to Elvira and he also had to resolve tax liens against the property.
He didn t. So now in addition to the jail time he will have to do 240 hours of community service.
Elvira had filed for divorce in November 2014 after 21 years of marriage. She cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for their split.
