Welcome Back actress Ankita to make TV debut
Mumbai Sep 24 (IANS) Actress Ankita Srivastava who featured in the 2015 movie "Welcome Back" is set to make her TV debut with Anirudh Pathak s forthcoming show "Dastaan-E-Mohabbat Salim Anarkali".
Ankita will play a character named Firdaus.
"Firdaus is a courtesan who believes in falling in love with status rather than the person. I play a very crucial role in the love story between Prince Salim and Anarkali. This is the first time that I am trying my hand at television. The look and feel of the character is very challenging " Ankita said in a statement.
"I know it is an unusual path to make my debut on TV but for me character satisfaction is of utmost priority. The makers have made sure that while I carry my bold image as Firdaus I bring elegance along with it. Firdaus is a charmer and extremely pretty. I am looking forward to start shooting for the show " she added.
