Biopic on astronaut Rakesh Sharma with Shah Rukh Khan in lead role

WTN- In recent past many biopic were made in Bollywood. The trends of biopic came into prominence after success of Sekher Kapur’s “Bandit Queen” in 1994. After that Dangal, Sanju, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story, Neerja, Mary Kom , The dirty Picture, Manjhi: The Mountain Man and others not only became box office hits but also got critics acclaim.
Now, after below par box office collection of Shah Rukh Khan’s Zero, Shah Rukh Khan’s has decided to jump into bandwagon of biopic. He would play the role of astronaut Rakesh Sharma in Rakesh Sharma biopic. The movie will be directed by Mahesh Mathai and produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur and Ronnie Screwvala. Rakesh Sharma became the first citizen of India to go into space on April 2, 1984. 'Saare Jahan Se Achcha' was Sharma's reply when he was asked how India looks from outer space by then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. It’s likely that the movie shall be titled as 'Saare Jahan Se Achcha'
