I love, respect Indian film industry: Pakistan's Saba Qamar

Saturday - February 18, 2017 4:50 pm , Category : ENTERTAINMENT

New Delhi: Pakistani actress Saba Qamar, who is in the news for an old video footage in which she branded Bollywood star Salman Khan a "chhichhora" (indecent), says she loves the Indian film industry and finds the "Dabangg" star humble.

An old video has gone viral where Pakistani actress Saba Qamar can be seen insulting Bollywood biggies like Salman Khan, Hrithik Roshan and Emraan Hashmi among others. Saba will soon make her Bollywood debut with Irrfan Khan in an upcoming movie Hindi Medium.

In a video which seems to be a morning show hosted by actress Noor, Saba was being shown pictures of certain Bollywood actors and she had to react if the actors were to ask her out to date or for a movie. The Pakistani actress was obviously under the fire for her reactions which have been considered as insulting by different Indian media outlets.

In a telephonic interview to IANS, Saba Qamar provides all the clarification and said, "It was a fun show... There was nothing in it... Koffee With Karan mein kya kuchh nahi hota (What all does not happen on Koffee With Karan)... I love everyone, and he's (Salman) a big superstar and so humble. Why would I say anything bad about him?".

When asked whether she would provide a clarification to either Salman or Hrithik if she were to cross paths with either of them someday, the actress stated that though she had only been joking when she made those comments, Saba claimed that she would apologise to the actors. "I love and respect Bollywood superstars. People on both sides of the border have love in their hearts and art has nothing to do with borders and boundaries," The News reported.
