New Delhi, Oct 10 (IANSlife) The 10th edition of Raasrang World Flute Festival will be held on Friday at Nehru Park in New Delhi. Curated by the Krishna Prerna Charitable Trust, the theme of the festival is peace and will have performances by notable musicians such as Aanjaneya Joshi, Pt. Chetan Joshi, Pt. Ashish Sengupta, Pt. Ajay Prasanna, Darpan Ram and Dig Ram.
Despite its name, the festival is not restricted to just flute and also features performances on instruments such as guitar, drums, bass, saxophone and sitar. The festival is also known to take up a cause every year and has this year collaborated with the National Brain Research Center (NBRC) to study the impact of Indian Classical music, flute in particular, on the brain.
This edition of the festival is co-sponsored by the Indian Council of Cultural Relations (ICCR), the Sangeet Natak Akademi and the Ayushman India Foundation.
