Condon hopes Lindsay Lohan stars in The Little Mermaid

Los Angeles March 18 (IANS) Beauty and the Beast director Bill Condon says he hopes actress Lindsay Lohans wish to star in the film The Little Mermaid comes true.

Last February Lohan wrote on her Instagram account that she wanted to play Ariel in The Little Mermaid a live-action movie if Condon directed it. Now Condon has responded to it saying that it is very sweet reports aceshowbiz.com.

It was very sweet of her (to mention me). I hope she gets to make that movie Condon told Vulture magazine.

I feel like I was so lucky in getting this crown jewel ( Beauty and the Beast ) but I ll see her in The Little Mermaid absolutely he added.

Lohan had posted a side-by-side image of herself and character of Princess Ariel from The Little Mermaid classic animated version on her Instagram account on February 19 2016.

I will sing again as Ariel The Little Mermaid (if) Disney approves that Bill Condon directs it she captioned the image.

Lohan has earlier teamed up with Disney for teen movies such as Freaky Friday The Parent Trap Herbie: Fully Loaded and Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen.
