Rock-n-roll legend Chuck Berry dies at 90

New York March 19 (IANS) Legendary rock-n-roll pioneer Chuck Berry has died at his home in Missouri US said police. Berry was 90 years old.

He was known for hit singles like Johnny B. Goode Roll Over Beethoven and Sweet Little Sixteen - 1950s chart-toppers that endure to this day.

St Charles County police said on their Facebook page that they responded to a report of a medical emergency at Berry s home at 12.40 p.m. on Saturday New York Post reported.

Inside the home first responders observed an unresponsive man and immediately administered lifesaving techniques. Unfortunately the 90-year-old man could not be revived and was pronounced deceased at 1.26 p.m. the police said.

Police confirmed Berry s identity and said his family requests privacy.
