Famke Janssen want women to go behind camera

Los Angeles March 23 (IANS) Actress Famke Janssen says it is important for women to go behind the camera to initiate change for the fairer sex in showbiz.

I mean the biggest changes as we as women will make is when we have more women behind the cameras as well as writers as directors producers. So that s something we ll continue to fight for Janssen said in a statement.

Janssen says staring in American crime thriller The Blacklist: Redemption - a spin-off from The Blacklist - is like a bit of a personal victory in that sense.

Janssen features as Susan Scott Scottie Hargrave president of Halcyon Aegis a private military company with teams of corporate operatives and Ryan Eggold as Tom Keen a character from the original series. The show is aired in India on Colors Infinity.

She added: I think every time we see a strong female character wherever that may be on television and in theatre it s really it s a wonderful moment that we should celebrate and I‘m extremely honoured and grateful for this opportunity to play such a strong and complex character on the show.
