Idris Elba wants to do action-packed films

Los Angeles March 28 (IANS) Actor Idris Elba wants to star in an action-led fighting films like Rocky after doing a year s training to become a professional K1 kickboxer for the documentary Fighter.

My agent has been fielding boxing scripts left right and centre. They re not imaginative enough though. Maybe one day I ll do a fight film but what would be the story? Comeback king of the year? I don t know Elba told Metro newspaper.

Elba admits his kickboxer training was one of the toughest things he has done but branded being a father of two to daughter Isan 12 and son Winston 2.

It s a slightly different mindset when I m acting Mandela was ridiculously tough but African war drama Beasts of No Nation was harrowing.
