Kevin Spacey to host 2017 Tony Awards

New York April 19 (IANS) Actor Kevin Spacey has been announced as the host of the 2017 Tony Awards.

I was their second choice for Usual Suspects fourth choice for American Beauty and 15th choice to host this year s Tony Awards Spacey the former artistic director of the Old Vic theatre in London said in a press release reports eonline.com.

The actor who won a 1991 Tony for his performance in Lost in Yonkers also tweeted: Honoured to host the Tony Awards 2017...fingers crossed all the envelopes are in order.

The nominations for this year s award ceremony will be announced on May 2. The final event will take place on June 11 at Radio City Music Hall here.
