Trailer of Jyotikas Magalir Mattum released
Chennai April 24 (IANS) The trailer of Jyotika-starrer Tamil drama Magalir Mattum was released on Monday at the films audio launch here.
Directed by National Film Award-winning filmmaker Bramma the movie also stars Oorvasi Bhanupriya and Saranya Ponvannan apart from a host of supporting artistes.
Going by the trailer it looks like a story of self-exploration of three women who get to live life their way once with the help of Jyotika s character.
In the movie Jyotika plays a post-modernistic documentary filmmaker.
Talking about the project Bramma had told IANS: There are a lot of things about women that need to be spoken about. Women-centric subjects in general still remain unexplored and my film is an attempt to fill the vacuum. While it s not an out-and-out women s film but it does feature them in very strong characters.
Although it s a story about a few women the director clarifies it s an equally important story about men.
My film also stars actors such as Nassar Livingston and Paval Navageethan. While the spotlight will fall on the women men do play a crucial part in taking the story forward he said.
The film is gearing up for release in May.
