Ameer replaces Vijay Sethupathi in Vada Chennai

Chennai May 31 (IANS) Actor-filmmaker Ameer has been brought in as the replacement for actor Vijay Sethupathi who walked out of Dhanush s Vada Chennai following date issues.

Vijay Sethupathi was to play a brief role in the film.

Ameer has replaced Vijay in the film. It s an intense role and Vetrimaaran amidst his other options really felt Ameer can pull it off. He will join the sets from the film s next schedule a source from the film s unit told IANS.

The film which will be made in three parts will chronicle 30 years in the life of a gangster from north Chennai and also Samuthirakani.

This project will mark Vetrimaaran s fifth association with Dhanush. Apart from working in films such as Pollathavan and Aadukalam the duo has also jointly produced critically-acclaimed films Kaaka Muttai and Visaaranai.
