Thank you for inspiring: B-Town to Daniel

Mumbai June 21 (IANS) A string of Bollywood personalities like Rajkummar Rao Hansal Mehta and Nimrat Kaur have expressed gratitude to Hollywood actor and three-time Oscar winner Daniel Day-Lewis who announced his retirement from movies for inspiring them.

Day-Lewis spokeswoman on Tuesday confirmed the news in a statement cited by Variety magazine without giving a reason for the decision.

Daniel Day-Lewis will no longer be working as an actor. He is immensely grateful to all of his collaborators and audiences over the many years. This is a private decision and neither he nor his representatives will make any further comment the spokesperson said.
