G.V. Prakash sings for uncle A.R. Rahman in Mersal

Chennai June 26 (IANS) Actor-composer G.V. Prakash Kumar on Monday said he has sung an energetic number in Oscar winning music maestro A.R. Rahman s composition for upcoming Tamil actioner Mersal.

Happy to announce that I have sung an energetic number in Mersal for my favourite A.R. Rahman Sir and Vijay Prakash tweeted.

Nearly 18 years ago Prakash had crooned as a youngster in Rahman s Tamil film Mudhalvana.

Mersal directed by Atlee stars Vijay in triple role.

He is tipped to be playing a Panchayat head a doctor and a magician in the film produced by Sri Thenandal Studios.

The film gearing up for Diwali release also stars Kajal Aggarwal Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Nithya Menen apart from a host of supporting artists.
