Acting with Rajinikanth a lifetime achievement: Samuthirakani

Chennai July 9 (IANS) National Award-winning actor Samuthirakani considers sharing screen space with superstar Rajinikanth in the upcoming Tamil gangster drama "Kaala" as a lifetime achievement.

"When I finished the first shot with Rajini sir I felt so proud about myself. It felt like a lifetime achievement. I have waited really long to share screen space with him " Samuthirakani told IANS.

While he remains tight-lipped about his role he is thrilled about the project.

Bankrolled by Dhanush "Kaala" reunites Rajinikanth with director Pa. Ranjith of "Kabali" fame.

In the film Rajinikanth plays a slum lord-turned-gangster.

"Kaala" also stars Nana Patekar Huma Qureshi Pankaj Tripathi and Anjali Patil among others.

Santhosh Narayanan is composing the tunes.
