Akon is a gem of a person: Neeta Lulla
Mumbai Dec 9 (IANS) Popular American singer-rapper Akon was in India for a private event and Neeta Lulla designed a jacket for him for the gig. The ace Indian designer says Akon is a gem of a person and designing for him is always a treat.
Akon came to India for a private appearance in Pune on December 7 and 8. He opted to wear a Neeta Lulla creation for his performance.
Lulla has designed a navy blue jacket with floral embellishments from her Vrindavan Symphony collection for the "Lonely" hitmaker. She had also designed for Akon previously when the latter came to launch his clothing line in India read a statement.
"Akon is a gem of a person and designing for him is always a treat. It s a single breasted zip up jacket customised in the Indian crepe fabric. Keeping in mind his profession we have inculcated musical instruments like tabla sarangi and sitar motifs synthesised to create a youthful contemporary ensemble " Lulla said.
On the work front Lulla is designing for Kangana Ranaut-starrer "Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi".
