June 06 (WTN) - People wearing glasses can be sharper. Scientists analyzing the hereditary data of more than 44,480 people said this in a study. Researchers at the University of Edinburgh found that the chance of finding such genes in more skilled people is more than 30 percent, which point to the fact that they need reading glasses. In a study published in 'Nature Communications' journal, high cognitive ability has also been linked to one gene.
These genes are known to play an important role in improving heart and blood vessels. Researchers studied 148 genomic areas. They are associated with better cognitive ability. Of these, 58 are genomic areas which were not known previously.

New smart glasses, the single lens will work as many lenses
Scientists have developed such smart glasses whose lenses are liquid-based and their flexibility will help to focus on everything that the person wearing glasses will be seeing. These glasses, developed by the researchers of the University of Utah, were developed in such a way that they would act as a natural pupil of the eye, that is, it will be able to focus on everything that the person is watching whether the object is distant or even close. With aging, our eyes lenses become stern and lose their ability and flexibility to focus on different distances.
That is why spectacles are required. But then it becomes more difficult when we lose the ability to focus on different distances and in this situation we need different lenses to look at different distances. Newly developed glasses have glycerin made lenses that are placed between two flexible membranes. These lenses are placed in the frame. These membranes turn to connect the focus.
Due to the flexibility of the lens and the ability to turn, one lens can act as many lenses. This research was published in the journal of Optics Express.
