How to keep Anxiety far from you?

Tuesday - November 20, 2018 12:36 pm , Category : LIFESTYLE

Anxiety is nothing but the result of accumulation of toxins and neurotoxins in a person’s system over the years. Toxins usually lead to an over stimulated nervous system, which then causes tension, uncertainty and unfounded worries.  An anxious person feels insecure, sees impossibilities as realities and lives in a fearful world of his own making. The more anxious a person remains, the more he/she sinks deeper into the cauldron of fear and doubt which debilitates him/her from taking up some of the basic functions of life that come naturally to all humans.

Prolonged anxiety can lead to depression which can cause serious psycho-neurological problems like sleep disorders, palpitations, sweating, giddiness, breathlessness, speaking problems and even seizures in extreme cases. It is important to nip anxiety in the bud. It is important to locate its symptoms early, however minor they are, and act accordingly by rooting out the reasons that are instrumental in generating the anxiety. Most anxieties in the initial stages can be handled effectively at home through personal efforts.

Anxiety is all about emotional bankruptcy and if one gets the right emotional support and feeling of security, the stability can be got back. Anybody can have anxiety in different intensities and the causes can be very minor like a small bruise on the body. It depends on the individual’s outlook and capacity as to how well he or she handles an issue. Ups and downs are a part of everyone’s life but not everybody gets tensed and anxious for every reason. The belief in one’s own self is vital and it can come either through self-realisation and auto-suggestion or through a trusted person/s, who can instil the feeling of fulfilment in the afflicted person. A person primarily needs to feel good about himself and think that he/she is a wonderful being, full of potentials.

That’s the first step towards feeling reassured and assessing the world as a playfield rather than a threat. To achieve that belief one has to do some groundwork to uplift his/her mood. He/she needs to pursue a hobby in a routine manner so that the fruits of the effort are visible, because that engenders happiness. The happier a person starts to be, the lesser are the chances of anxiety finding a way in. The mind needs to be taken off the problem which is causing the anxiety. Anxiety occurs when the problem is such that a person can’t do much.

When one can’t do much, there is no point feeling down and helpless by mulling the same thing in the head.  Hooking on to a hobby like gardening or painting or singing is spiritually refreshing. Regular pursuance of a hobby is bound to lift up the mood and take it to a different purgatory world. Talking to one’s own self and thinking positive are also good ways to control one’s emotions from swerving out of control. Introspecting and finding the positive traits in one’s self do a world of good in times of sagging spirits.

Associating with friends and close acquaintances and finding a jovial atmosphere also is a way to keep away anxiety. Going out trekking, swimming or travelling is also a tried and tested way to rejuvenate the mind. Other ways to ease up include meditation and yoga, which purify the mind and soul through breathing techniques. Reiki, sauna bath and massage therapies are also effective in ameliorating anxiety. If none of these techniques serves the purpose and solve anxiety then a qualified clinical psychiatrist or a certified counsellor must be consulted for an organised and formulated therapy. – Window To News
